Nottingham Industrial Museum – Nottingham
Trustee role(s): Board members
Nottingham Industrial Museum has three vacancies in the following areas: Learning and Outreach (responsible for leading, supporting, and executing a co-ordinated Education and Community Engagement programme, encouraging enjoyment of the Museum by the wider community and contributing to the sustainability of the site); Visitor Experience (responsible for managing our visitors’ experience and taking an active leading role in ensuring that visitors are fully engaged with well-maintained galleries, displays and signage); Volunteer Engagement (with responsibility for leading on managing, supporting and developing our diverse volunteer teams).
The Board meet fortnightly on a weekday afternoon but additional extra hours will be required to implement policies and procedures as these are hands-on roles, proactive roles. Daytime afternoon meetings

Sherborne Museum – Dorset

We are in the process of transferring from an Association to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). To help shape our future and raise our profile we are seeking to appoint a Chair for the newly formed Sherborne Museum Trust with strong local networks and standing to work with the curator in providing leadership and to champion the work of the Museum in the local community and beyond. The role of Chair is non-executive, providing a rewarding opportunity to use your expertise and experience to help us develop Sherborne Museum.
7 meetings annually 1-2 hours

Glenside Hospital Museum – Bristol
Trustee role(s): Board Member
To join the current trustees and Project Manager in taking the museum forward to: participate in a new challenge to rebuild the museum providing experience of organisational and building development, develop our education service using our museum collection as an international resource to support mental health awareness.
4 meetings annually, plus 4 if the trustee’s interests lean to a particular project and sub-committee. Volunteers give anything from 12 hours a year to 6 hours a week depending on their interest.
Meetings will be on a rolling timetable to ensure all trustees get a chance to participate.
