Hallmarks at Home – Practical governance for museum trustees – FULLY BOOKED

THIS SESSION IS NOW FULLY BOOKED.

This session is a fresh look at practical governance for new and existing trustees looking for support and guidance about getting governance to be of practical help and add value to work of their museum.

This workshop coincides with the new AIM governance publication and is led by the authors of the guide, Ruth Lesirge and Hilary Barnard.

The workshop will explore the basics of good governance practice as well as issues of compliance with charity, company and other law and regulation. It will reflect different legal and regulatory frameworks in Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as in England and Wales.

Previous attendee Mary Broughton, Chair of Sime Gallery shared this feedback on a previous session:

“As a newcomer, it was a great relief to be amongst others sharing difficulties and issues to be addressed and to know that there are experts I can contact to help guide me as a Chair of a new CIO. We are in particular now wishing to work to accreditation for our Gallery. It was also clear and well run.”

10am – 11.30am Tuesday 9 February.
