The Stained Glass Museum (CIO) is currently recruiting Trustees. This is an exciting time to join the Board of Trustees, since the museum is currently developing a strategic masterplan for the museum’s future. We are looking especially for individuals with professional experience in any of the following areas: • Development & Fundraising • Museum & Heritage • Education & Outreach • HR • Marketing

Number of meetings per annum/time commitment: 5 meetings per year

Museum of Richmond – London

Roles: Trustees

The museum is looking for Trustees with particular skills; however, we do welcome applications from people who have other skill sets as well. The skills we are currently looking for include:

  • Fundraising
  • Human Resources
  • Buildings and planning

Number of meetings per annum/time commitment:

6 x evening Board meetings per year (each approximately 1.5 hours)

3 x fundraising/marketing events per year (each approximately 2-3 hours)

Sulgrave Manor Trust – Oxfordshire/Northamptonshire

Roles: Trustees

Development Trustee

Sulgrave Manor Trust has committed to a development campaign with the object of raising £10 million in permanent endowment capital by 2030.  The Trust wishes to appoint an experienced and successful development professional to ensure a successful approach to its development strategy and management of its development campaign.

Legal Trustee

In light of its need for significant expenditure upon the Manor and its small estate, and to build support for Sulgrave within the UK, the Trust seeks to recruit a Legal Trustee. The role would suit a solicitor or barrister with a good working knowledge of charity and property law.

Number of meetings per annum/time commitment: 4 board meetings per annum with possible working group meetings 4 times per annum

We are recruiting 3 experienced and enthusiastic Trustees to join a team providing strategic leadership to the Museum at a time of great change and development.

We are looking for trustees with substantial experience in at least 1 of the following:

Managing capital projects

Financial Management

Fundraising/Development

Law

Media/ Communications

Learning/ Outreach

Number of meetings per annum/time commitment: 7-10 meetings per annum

Greenham Control Tower Ltd – Berkshire

Roles: Trustees

Greenham Control Tower opened its doors in Summer 2018 as a museum, cafe and community venue with the aim to preserve and share the historical legacy of one of the few remaining airfield buildings, telling the story of Greenham Common whilst supporting and cooperating with local organisations for the benefit of the whole community. We are seeking new board members to help with the operation and strategic direction of the building. We are keen to talk to anyone with the relevant skills, especially if you have experience in any of the following areas; Finance, Law Museum management or charitable organisations.

We seek two new trustees to refresh our Board and bring in specific skills and experience to help enhance the awareness locally and further afield of our hidden gem local history museum.  Specifically, we are interested in recruiting trustees with marketing and promotional experience to engage with potential sponsors and the other with current charity background to help the museum form into a modern charity able to embrace new opportunities to ensure its sustainability and expand its reach into the community.

Number of meetings per annum/time commitment:  monthly meetings held year-round. Sub committees meet as necessary year-round.
