AIM And Charity Finance Group Launch New Three-Year Partnership

AIM members can now receive free membership of the Charity Finance Group after AIM and CFG launched their new partnership during AIM National Conference 2018.
Thanks to funding from Arts Council England, AIM has bought bulk membership of the Charity Finance Group for all AIM members across the UK to support you and your teams to develop better financial management for your organisation.
So, if you are puzzled by Gift Aid, confused by tax or perplexed by pensions, make sure your museum takes advantage of this new membership benefit!
AIM’s Director, Emma Chaplin said of the launch: “The partnership with the Charity Finance Group opens up a great wealth of expertise and resources in financial management for our members to draw upon. I urge members to make sure they sign up quickly to discover and use the benefits that CFG membership can bring them.”
The Charity Finance Group has a network of over 1,400 charities, with over 3,000 finance professional members and their benefits extend to everyone who has any responsibility for the financial health or governance of their organisation.
Andrew O’Brien, Director of Policy and Engagement at Charity Finance Group said: “Dealing with the finances of a museum can be a lonely business. This partnership will enable AIM members to benefit from our network of nearly 1,450 charities as well as hundreds of corporate partners so that they are not alone. Over the next three years we hope to take AIM members on a journey towards improving their financial management and governance and sharing their experiences with the rest of the charity sector so that we can all benefit.”
What are the benefits for AIM members?
This new membership is free and is automatically part of your existing AIM membership. You can benefit from:

- Free members’ meetings that take place in London and across England and Wales.
- Discounts and early bird access to CFG’s extensive events, conferences and training programme.
- CFG Jobs Board – Members can save up to £1,535 on recruitment costs in Third Sector and advertise treasurer, trustee and volunteer vacancies free of charge.
- CFG’s monthly magazine Finance Focus and an annual Economic Outlook Briefing emailed to you
- Access to CFG’s online document library containing over 400 documents and publications
- Add as many members of your museum staff, trustees and volunteers to the CFG membership free of charge
- Access to policy and regulation consultations – CFG’s policy team tackles the subjects that affect you and your charity’s ability to operate.
- CFG members have the opportunity to contribute to policy consultations and be kept informed about a wide range of issues from SORP, VAT and tax to pensions, banking reform and social investment.
How to activate your free Charity Finance membership
You need to be a member of AIM and you will need to submit some short information via the Charity Finance Group portal for AIM members which can be accessed here:
