SW Museums – still time to book
There is still time to book on the MGM Arts Seminar taking place in Exeter on Monday 28 January. This is one in the series of free workshops organised by The Campaign for Museums and engage for Museums & Galleries Month and supported by the Arts Council. The aim is to stimulate innovative and exciting new visual arts content in museums and heritage sites across the UK – as part of MGM 2008.Participants will hear from three keynote speakers, who will provide inspirational case studies on commissioning art in response to museum collections; working with arts and audiences; and making art within a museum or heritage site context. Participants will leave the seminar equipped with practical knowledge and a how-to guide on programming artists and art events within a variety of contexts.
This event is for those working in smaller museums and heritage sites, who are interested in working with artists, developing innovative arts projects and engaging with audiences in a fresh and stimulating way. The MGM Arts Tool Kit will be available on the day.
The seminar will take place at Spacex, 45 Preston Street, Exeter, EX1 1DF.
