What Makes A Successful Independent Museum?
AIM’s 2008 conference is filling up fast. Download the application form here (if you have difficulty in downloading, please send an email to the AIM administrator, Roger Hornshaw, who will email a copy aimadmin@aim-museums.co.uk ) to secure your place to find out “What Makes a Successful Independent Museum?”If you’ve never been to the AIM conference before please think about coming this year. We’ve introduced ‘conference buddies’ so there’ll be someone to help show you around. Conference is always very friendly and there is a big emphasis on the practicalities of running a museum.
The case studies are drawn from both large and small museums so there should be plenty of useful information for everyone, on everything from effective PR with no budget to an update on the new HLF application process, launched in April 2008.
We keep the cost of conference as low as possible, but if it is a problem, don’t forget the Bob Harding Grants which can help with conference fees, travel and accommodation costs. The application process is very simple and you will hear whether we can help very quickly. Last year we were able to help most people who asked.
